Our Founder's Story
Before she founded Enhanced Prep, Rachel Mead spent decades as a professional tutor. And before that, Rachel was a high school student witnessing, firsthand, the tremendous impact that a single test score can have on a student’s life. After she saw how effective tutoring was for a close friend who struggled to secure a hard-earned athletic scholarship because of his test scores, Rachel knew that she wanted to remove the barrier that standardized testing poses for many students.
Rachel worked with some of the top test prep and tutoring companies for over 25 years. Throughout that time, schools became more competitive, students needed higher test scores and GPA’s. But the traditional tutoring methods weren’t getting the results they used to. Rachel realized that something was missing from the experience for both students and parents – a tailored, personal approach. Enter, Enhanced Prep.
The Enhanced Prep team is made up of some of the best and most passionate tutors and education professionals. Our tutors teach for the love of helping students achieve scores and grades they never thought possible. We take the best parts of traditional tutoring services and build upon them to create a unique game plan for every student.

Every Enhanced Prep journey begins with a diagnosis of a student’s individual strengths and weaknesses. College entrance exams test a wide variety of concepts. We identify which concepts will be most valuable for students to focus on so they can maximize their accuracy on test day.
Enhanced Prep tutors will provide each student with different tips and tricks to help them save time on the test without sacrificing accuracy. Equipped with these strategies, students will be able to see a question and know the best approach to answer it and avoid pesky test traps.
So, you’ve mastered the content of the test and you know how to approach the different kinds of questions on the test. What’s next? Each student will receive a unique game plan detailing how much time they should spend on each section of the test, the order in which they should take the test and more!
