Every Enhanced Prep journey begins with a diagnosis of a student’s individual strengths and weaknesses. College entrance exams test a wide variety of concepts. We identify which concepts will be most valuable for students to focus on so they can maximize their accuracy on test day.
Enhanced Prep tutors will provide each student with different tips and tricks to help them save time on the test without sacrificing accuracy. Equipped with these strategies, students will be able to see a question and know the best approach to answer it and avoid pesky test traps.
So, you’ve mastered the content of the test and you know how to approach the different kinds of questions on the test. What’s next? Each student will receive a unique game plan detailing how much time they should spend on each section of the test, the order in which they should take the test and more!
When getting ready to take the GMAT, students should ensure that they begin their preparations as early as possible in order to have adequate time to review the content and to practice appropriate test-taking strategies. This process can be completed with greater ease with the help of our GMAT tutors. Each tutor on our team can identify the content that will be most crucial to each student’s success and can spend the optimal amount of time preparing with them to guarantee that they are comfortable and ready to apply their knowledge effectively on test day. By communicating effectively with students, our tutors work to ensure that every student achieves their best result on test day.
The GMAT assesses a range of important skills that candidates must possess in order to succeed in their graduate business studies. These include determining the adequacy of data sets to draw conclusions, analytical thinking, understanding passages of text, critical thinking, analysis of information in multiple forms (such as graphs and written works), and effective writing. With the wide breadth of skills included in this assessment, it can seem overwhelming to some test-takers. When preparing to face this, students can always rely on the online GMAT help offered by Enhanced Prep’s team of professional tutors to help them be ready for test day.
If a test-taker is unsuccessful in their first attempt, they can rest assured that they will be allowed to retake the exam. (The GMAT can be taken a total of eight times in a lifetime.) However, only five attempts are allowed within a one-year period, and a minimum of 16 days must elapse between attempts. It is recommended that this time in between attempts be used for studying in order to best improve scores on the next effort. To have the greatest chance of succeeding on their next test day, students can turn to the GMAT help provided by our team of expert online GMAT tutors.
The GMAT can be taken at a testing center or can be proctored online from any location that students choose. When attending the GMAT at a testing center, candidates must bring a valid photo ID such as a driver’s license or passport. Additionally, a registration letter may be required to enter the testing center. Students may bring with them prescription eyeglasses and a light article of warm clothing, such as a sweater or jacket. The prohibited items at testing centers are refreshments and weapons, while other items, including personal calculators and cell phones, are allowed but must be stored in lockers during the exam. When receiving the exam online, students must have their form of ID to show over the webcam. Again, no electronics other than the testing device are allowed.
The overall score that candidates receive on the GMAT is determined by their scores on the four subtests and is scaled within a range of possible values from 200 to 800. Each of the subtests is scored differently, with the integrated reasoning test being scored from 1 to 8, verbal reasoning from 6 to 51, quantitative reasoning from 6 to 51, and analytical writing from 0 to 6. All of the subtest scores can be included in an optional Enhanced GMAT Score Report (available at a limited number of testing centers) alongside other important diagnostic information that can be used to understand where the test-taker ranks among others and where there is room for improvement. There is no passing score on the GMAT, but individual institutions determine what scores are competitive for their purposes and make admission decisions based on these scores and other factors.
