Our Founder’s Story
Rachel Mead worked with some of the top test prep and tutoring companies for over 25 years. Over that time, schools became more competitive, and students needed higher test scores and GPA’s. However the traditional tutoring methods weren’t getting the results they used to. Rachel realized that something was missing from the experience for both students and parents – a tailored, personal approach. Enter, Enhanced Prep.
The Enhanced Prep team is made up of some of the most experienced and passionate tutors and education professionals. Our tutors teach for the love of helping students unlock their potential and achieve scores and grades they never thought possible. We take the premium parts of traditional tutoring services and build upon them to create a unique game plan for every student.
We work to set students up for success in both the classroom and throughout their lives by giving them the tools and confidence to help build the habits needed to achieve their goals. We are so proud of the work our students put in and the results they achieve because of it.

Lloyd is a Harvard graduate with a B.A. in Economics and Psychology. He started tutoring in 2010 and enjoys breaking down concepts into understandable chunks in a wide range of subjects.

With a Ph.D. in Chemistry, experience working in the medical device industry, and 15+ years of tutoring experience, Paul excels at helping students learn, especially in math and science classes.
Amelia-Kate

Amelia-Kate is deeply invested in her students’ well-being and capacity to succeed. An educator for 11+ years, she emphasizes student-driven learning and exploring one’s own potential.
Jean

Jean has worked almost every role in education in her 14 years of teaching. She's taught ESL students, worked for education reform, and now customizes her tutoring instruction to each student's needs.

Olga approaches all students with empathy, encouragement, and unique ways to engage with learning. She is an English teacher currently pursuing a Master’s degree in her field at Columbia University.

We only hire the best tutors with a minimum of 5 years of experience and most with advanced degrees from top tier universities. Every tutor goes through our rigorous training program to make sure that you receive the best instruction.

From its inception, Enhanced Prep has believed in making equitable access to education a reality. It’s a core part of who we are. We serve the students who need us most by providing personalized solutions to organizations and nonprofits. We’ve offered special nonprofit pricing, in-kind donations, academic support and community events and resources.
